Not surprisingly he is from Missouri. Earlier this month, while arguing against the non-binding resolution disapproving of further escalation in Iraq, Todd dropped this gem of a quote.
“Could you picture Davy Crockett at the Alamo looking at his BlackBerry, getting a message from Congress: Davy Crockett, we support you. The only thing is we are not going to send any troops. I am sure that would really be impressive to Davy Crockett”
I think anybody who had a Blackberry in 1836 would pretty be fucking impressed. Apparently Todd didn’t realize that the Battle of the Alamo was a 13 day siege that we FUCKING LOST! All 200 people at the Alamo were killed except for a few women and children. Not to mention Congress couldn’t make a decision in 13 days if every guy in the room had a nuke strapped to his balls. So even if there was a Blackberry in 1836 Davy still would have been dead before Congress quit arguing.
Doesn’t this guy at least have an intern who could take the time to look this kind of shit up “Battle of the Alamo” on Wikipedia?
