How much vodka does it take to put a Russian down in a vodka drinking contest? According to the article the answer is 1.5 litres. For all of us asshole Americans that refuse to join the rest of the world in using the metric system that is about 50.72 ounces. For further perspective a half gallon of vodka that you would buy in your local bottle shop is 64 ounces.
This guy wasn’t the only bastard to have a tough time post contest. There were 5 contestants that ended up in the hospital after trying to compete.
You might be wondering what the winner might have received if he had survived that 50.72 ounces of vodka. Another 10 bottles of vodka of course.

Wow, I think we left out the most important stat. In 2002, more than 40,000 Russians died of alcohol poisoning. What the hell is going on over there. And more importantly… how can we even consider ourselves drinkers over here. I know of only 1 person that has died of alcohol poisoning. Weak.
