Cement Ball Prank

This reminds me of a Halloween prank my friends and I pulled in high school. We hollowed out several pumpkins and filled them with cement (cement mixed by guy putting a sidewalk in at a friend’s parent’s house). When the cement had hardened, we put the tops back on, loaded them up in the cars, and headed out to a rival high school’s town (damn Vikings). Once we got there we set one of those bad boys out in the middle of a lane on the main drag. Within 5 minutes, some meathead typical of this high school spotted the pumpkin and slowed down….until he realized it was a harmless little pumpkin that his souped-up Camero could easily demolish. At this point he pressed the pedal to the metal and was probably going 45 when he ran over our little joke. Man, the sound that cement pumpkin made when it hit his front axel was amazing. The guy slammed on the breaks, fishtailing back and forth. At this point we jumped in our cars and hauled ass outta there.

Unfortunately for some of us, our second pumpkin drop didn’t work out as well. This one was off the main drag a little bit, away from the scene of our first crime. Our unsuspecting victim? A sheriff. When he flew by the pumpkin without slowing down we jumped in the cars (a minivan and a Blazer) and took off, splitting up. Poor guys in the minivan (I was in the Blazer), the sheriff chose to chase them down, proceeding to give the driver a ticket, and making them throw the pumpkins in the dumpster (with a loud thud). Fortunately the sheriff was clueless that the pumpkins were filled with cement or I imagine there would have been a bit more severe consequences. While they were getting pulled over, my friends and I in the Blazer were sitting across the street in a Dairy Queen, munching down on a few burgers. Man that was a good night.

So back to the video. The replays are a bit excessive, and the sound is terrible (turn off your speakers if you can), but otherwise it’s funny as hell.
