8G iPhone Price Drops $200

by Mitch Martin on September 6, 2007

iPhone CloseupHow do all you early 8G iPhone adopters feel? Just barely over two months after it’s release and the price drops $200. That is a huge amount considering that is 1/3 of it’s original cost. If I had been one of the thousands of people that stood in line for hours on end to pay $599 I would be pretty pissed right now. The price drop definitely gives you a little bit of a clue as to how much profit Apple has built into the iPhone.

I can’t think of another product that has been released to only have the price dropped by such a significant amount only a couple of months later. Sure over time the prices on things like the playstation, xbox and even original iPods have gone down but it usually takes a least a year.

yeah.. its just because when it came out, noone knew TONS about it yet so, they were willing to spend lots on it. Now, as everyone has found out about the features and things, they dont feel like paying 600$. So, they probably dropped it to 200. thats just my guess though
