How many commercials has Chevy made with that goddamn This is Our Country song by John Cougar Mellencamp? I am guessing it has got to be like 500. Sure they change up the content of the commercial but it is still that same song. I was hoping that ad campaign would die off before the football season started but it looks like I wasn’t that lucky. I have watched about 2 1/2 games today and I have probably heard the damn song about 30 times.

god damn skippy. there’s a reason I live in Seattle, and not Oklahoma. can’t they filter this ads out while I’m trying to watch the Hawks murder Tampa Bay? The worst part is that the start the ad with a different part of the song, so for a second, you’re thinking, “Did this hayseed sellout write ANOTHER fucking song for this shit?” Then of course, the chorus kicks in like a bat to the groin, and you realize it’s the same piece of Farm Aid shit as the last set of ads. And at the bowling alley the other night, they played Wild Night, that horrendous remake he did with Me’shell Ndgogolimoncello a few years back. The bastard is following me! I hope Mellencamp gargles some glass and swallows.
