The Rusty Nail (tastybooze drink # 1)

by Bill Brasky on September 24, 2007

Rusty NailAlcohol is important. In this soon to be periodic segment on tastybooze we will be providing new and exciting ways to introduce alcohol into your body. We will not limit our vehicle of intake to the mouth; instead we will provide a cornucopia of consumption possibilities. While some suggestions are clearly going to be illegal, remember, alcohol is fun.

For our debut drink we offer the Rusty Nail! Popular in Eastern Europe and Arkansas, the rusty nail is everything you have ever wanted in a platelet cocktail. Just mix, pour, and enjoy! Here’s how…

Ingredients:
- blood (infected with tetanus)
- 151
- a drop of lime juice

Directions:
1. Find a person infected with tetanus.
2. Ask them if they wouldn’t mind a little blood letting.
3. Collect blood in a styrofoam container much like an AM/PM coffee cup.
4. Take them to the hospital when finished, but only leave them at the ER doorway (It’s
best not to answer too many questions).
5. Chill your 151 until below freezing.
6. Shake with ice and pour

Situations?
- If you are a vampire this is a great after dinner or going out drink!
- Great for a Halloween party.
- If you have a family member or loved one imprisoned as a serial killer this would be a great gag gift at their parole party or execution.
- There are so many possibilities! Let us know in the comments section if you can think of any other fun and exciting uses.

Sounds great! have you thought about including hot sauce?

I think this shot should also be available through IV. Although, that probably wouldn’t work out with the hot sauce.

Why the tetanus? That just seems like adding insult to injury. Do you have to post some kind of notice they might need an actual tetanus shot after taking this liquor shot?

I prefer the traditional recipe that the bartender serves. Scotch and Scotch flavoured liqueur.
