Some of you might have noticed that Tastybooze.com was down for the last couple of days. We had a little disagreement between our hosting company and about 43,000 digg readers. J Diggles dropped this doozy of post titled Anyone Else Thirsty? on Friday and it was picked up on digg. I don’t know what happened between Friday night and Saturday morning but suffice it to say that it blew up. I got an email from our hosting company at 10:00 AM letting me know that our account had been deactivated. I placed a call to their tech support department and after 15 minutes on hold I found out that the 50,000 plus pageviews we had received had crashed the web server that our site was hosted on for over an hour and half. Long story short they were pissed and no longer wanted to host Tastybooze.
I have spent the last two days frantically trying to find a new hosting company and working to get the domain transferred and the site back on line. Our new hosting company WingSix will help us handle our digg popularity and their tech support guys have already gotten me out of a couple of jams.
