Baseball Season Wrap-up

by J Diggles on October 23, 2007

So I know the season isn’t really over because the whole reason the season is played is still about to occur, i.e. the World Series. But let’s be honest, the teams remaining are lame (an expansion club vs the most overexposed team ever). They do not excite my inner fan in any way. In fact, the only reason I am rooting for the Rockies is because I hate the Red Sox. Yes Wade Boggs did play for the Red Sox, but he also played for the Yankees, so it’s not like he was loyal either.

I mean come on, do Red Sox fans REALLY have to wear their stupid Red Sox hat every single day of their lives. It’s just too much. And since winning the World Series a few years ago, those fans turned from the Ruth-cursed losers to the most pretentious bunch of winners I have ever seen. And the recent down 1-3 games comeback sure didn’t help that any. Even when they were the losers, it was hard to feel sorry for a group of fans who had the most prolific winners in basketball history (Celtics) and the dynasty of all dynasty’s (Patriots). This season won’t be remembered for the Sox winning another or the Rockies being the 2nd expansion team from the 1990’s to win in the last 5 years. It will be remembered for Barry Bonds. Rockies in 6…

True. Bonds will be the overriding story. Whatever happened with that Mark Ecko “brand the ball with a asterisk” bullshit?

i agree with this article except to point out that the pats are anything but the greatest of football dynasties. that would be the 49′ers especially considering they never lost a super bowl they attended.

plus joe montanta was 1000x better than brady.

so is peyton manning.
