Skateboarding under the influence. Apparently the Aussie’s don’t look to kindly on riding your board with a buzz on. I know the hippies of Oregon aren’t allowed to ride their bikes drunk but I had no idea you could get busted on a skateboard.
Police in the Queensland city of Maroochydore stopped Symes on the road before midnight Sept. 21 as he was weaving his skateboard through traffic lights while drinking from a can of rum, the Courier-Mail newspaper said.
Police said Symes’ speech was slurred, his eyes were watery and red and he recorded a blood alcohol level of .095.
Wait a minute, a can of rum? Why has such an ingenious invention not made it to the U.S.? Sure we have the plastic booze bottle but cans would be so much easier to deal with in all outdoor drinking situations. I would just like to be able to respond to the “What did you bring to drink?” question with “Nothing crazy, just a sixer of rum.” God that would be sweet.
