The 46-year-old was first stopped by Boddington police, in the Perth hills on Saturday night, and charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.
He was spotted driving his car again a short time later and arrested for drink-driving, police said.
The man’s car was impounded in the Boddington police station but early on Sunday morning, the man allegedly jumped over the fence of the police station, broke open a padlock on a back gate and drove away in his car.
Three DUIs in 24 hours!? That has got to be some kind of record. I wish those bastards over at the Guinness Book would get off their high horse and start keeping tracking of amazing drinking feats such as this. I am not saying that I condone drinking and driving but you have got to admit that getting 3 DUIs in 24 hours shows a level of determination that you have just got to respect. I mean after number two this guy must have said to himself, “Shit, I could call Billy for a ride…screw it I will just bust my car out of impound and drive myself.”

I propose that we start the Tasty Booze Book of Drinking Records. We could accept submissions from booze hounds like this guy but they would have to have some video evidence (I guess news coverage would work also) of the feat before it would be considered by our illustrious panel as eligible as a world record entry. We’d have to keep a list in the sidebar of the current records to date. It’d give us something to go out and compete against on the weekends.
