In a triumph of the convoluted American legal system, a Texas mayor who has been convicted of exposing himself to women is still currently serving as mayor. Seems that due to some loopholes, he’s able to serve out the rest of his term as mayor, while he appeals his sentence for exposing himself in public to underage girls.
The biggest ironic slap in the face for justice is that the mayor can’t technically visit City Hall (where he might presumably do a lot of his mayoring), seeing as how it’s less than 1000 feet from a youth center. The mayor can’t go that close to an area where small children congregate…because, you know…he’s a convicted sex offender.

This definitely sounds like something that would be possible in Florida. So there is an entire town of idiots that want a sex offender as their mayor?
