Talk about a shitty day. Douglas Sheldon not only had his decorative plastic snowman decapitated but then he got shot twice as well.
A Sheriff’s Office report said Sheldon was parking his truck in his yard when he got in some type of an argument with Lankford’s sister, Audra Lankford. Audra Lankford was upset and called her brother. On his way home, the report said, Matthew Lankford drove through Sheldon’s yard and ran over his Christmas decorations. It is rumored that a snowman was decapitated.
Sheldon then ran to Lankford’s home, where an argument ensued between the men and several other people. Witnesses told deputies Lankford got a 45-caliber handgun and shot Sheldon in the left arm and abdomen.
I love this part “Lankford got a 45-caliber handgun”. That insinuates that Lankford left at some point to get the gun and Sheldon just stood around waiting to see what happened. That brings up one of my life rules.

If someone goes into their house or another room in the middle of an argument and you are not armed get the fuck out of there.
Nobody leaves in the middle of an argument to get some fresh flowers or some potpourri to say “I’m sorry”. More often then not they have hit their tipping point and have decided to resort to weapons. More importantly and this might have to be made into some kind of life rule. If you call some guy’s sister a slut and he then decapitates your $10 plastic snowman in retaliation. Let it go. Things can only get worse from there.
