A chronic alcoholic has told how he used to drink 48 cans of lager and two bottles of brandy every day.
But 28-year-old Sean Whiteside from Preston in Lancashire has pledged to beat his demons for good after cutting down his boozing - to 30 cans a day.Since the offence, Whiteside says he has cut out brandy and one night a week goes for help with his addiction at Preston’s Alcohol and Drug Services centre in Fox Street. But he admits he still starts drinking lager when he gets up every day between 5.30 and 6.30am. When he goes to bed in the early hours of the following day he takes four cans of Carling or Fosters lager to bed with him. He added: “I just need it now, I just need it in me.
Thank Christ he cut down to just 30 beers, I bet his liver is just ecstatic. I am not saying this booze hound is lying but if you run the numbers it is fucking amazing. Based on the article I am going to bet the guy slept about 5 hours a night. That gives him 19 hours of boozing time which means he would need to drink 2.5 beers an hour to hit 48. That doesn’t even take into consideration the two bottles of brandy. Guys like this are the reason those pricks over at the Guinness Record Book should climb down from their ivory tower and start keeping track of drinking records. I want some guy with a clipboard, thick glasses and a pocket protector to follow this cat around for the day just to verify things and then give him his rightful spot in the records.

yeah, I think his lawyer and he exaggerated the total amount, to make it seem like 30 a day was a significant imnprovement. he’s probably only been drinking 30 beers a day the whole time, which is really no big deal as long as you’re not working…
