No More Ali G? What The F–k?

by Mitch Martin on December 22, 2007

main_ali_g_03.jpg I can understand Sacha Baron Cohen wanting to retire his Borat character after Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan swept the nation but why does Ali G have to go too? I have been holding out hope that we would get an Ali G movie. Maybe they can just cut together all the footage from the HBO show and make it a two hour movie.

Sacha Baron Cohen tells The Daily Telegraph that he’s retiring the clueless Kazakh journalist, as well as his alter ego, aspiring rapper Ali G. Cohen created both personae as devices for improvised social satire, in which people he interacted with in interviews or casual encounters became his unsuspecting comic foils.

“When I was being Ali G and Borat I was in character sometimes 14 hours a day and I came to love them, so admitting I am never going to play them again is quite a sad thing,” the 36-year-old actor-comedian says in the British newspaper’s Friday edition.

Yea as is said, there is a movie… really old. I thought it sucked as it was nothing like the OLD C4 episodes (Before your USA version) and he sort of sold out.

Id love him to do a movie like the borat one and do interviews… But sad thing is too many people know him now so it would not work, unless he went to some place where he is unknown….

I hope he brings his Gay club ego out with some show, or some new person that no one knows
