About thirty minutes ago a senator, in a dereliction of duty, “busted” open the horrendous steroids scandal in Major League Baseball. What is most upsetting about this report is not the amazing names that have been unearthed as steroids users (Phil Hiatt!), or the likelihood that tax dollars have been spent on this investigation, but rather the poor choices of steroids themselves.
Really steroids, this is the best you have to offer! I would think you could at least pull a Pujols’ or possibly a Martinez. Seriously, of all the players available you settled for the likes of Nook Logan. Cocaine at least got Doc Rivers and Len Bias. All you got was Barry Bonds Roger Clemens and Chuck Knoblauch. Bullshit. If I were steroids, I would be embarrassed.
