Generally when we write stories about criminals here on Tasty Booze it’s because they do some kind of dumbass thing that gets them caught. I came across a story today about a robber who not only must have thought his crime through but must have had some of the biggest balls around to pull it off.
On Thursday a man dressed as an armor car guard walked out of the Wachovia bank branch on Pennsylvania Avenue with a locked cash bag containing $350,000. The man entered the bank dressed as a guard and signed for the cash before walking out with it. About an hour later the real Brinks guard showed up and bank officials told him the pickup has already been made by another guard. The guard did not report the failed picked to supervisors until the end of his shift that day which was about 11 hours after the robbery took place.
This is where the big balls part kicks in. For those of you who can’t picture where the Wachovia branch is located on Pennsylvania Avenue it is right across the street from the J. Edgar Hoover FBI building.
So not only did this guy rob a bank but he did it literally in the FBI’s backyard. If that isn’t big steel balls I don’t know what is.
