Like every other popular 80’s show Knight Rider is going to be coming back to TV sometime in 2008. I don’t have a problem with 80’s shows coming back. I am so excited for American Gladiators to start on January 6th I could piss myself. There is just something about the fact that the new K.I.T.T. car is going to be a Ford Mustang that bothers me. I just don’t like it. Maybe it’s because just about every Mustang driver I have ever seen is a chucklehead. Maybe it’s because Ford can’t come up with an original car design to save their life. They are still using the same basic design that was developed in the mid to late 60’s.

Sure looking back on it that Trans Am from the 80’s looks cheesy but when I was younger that was the coolest car in the world. I didn’t even know the make or model of the 80’s K.I.T.T. I just knew it was badass. Maybe I am being tough on the new model and it will be the same for kids today. However I think half the reason they bring these old 80’s shows back is to pull in all of us who were kids in the 80’s and remember the show. Based on that I think this new car looks like shit compared to the classic. One thing that definitely needs to go is that stroller bar spoiler on the back. This isn’t The Fast and The Furious.

The article says there will be a limited run of K.I.T.T. mustangs made availabe for sale to the public. I can’t wait to see the first douche bag rolling around town in one of these things.
