Paul Feinstein, 24, was an employee at radio station 91.7 FM KOOP in Austin Texas. He and another co-worker were in charge of developing a playlist for an internet broadcast that would run overnight while the station was off the air. Paul who is a huge Jazz fan put together what I can only imagine is one of the most kick assiest Jazz playlists ever created called Mellow Down Easy. After he left the station his co-worker, who he had been having disagreements with, changed Mellow Down Easy before the broadcast aired. Once Paul found out about the playlist hi-jinx he did what any right minded, playlist creating, Jazz fan would do…He tried to burn that motherfucker to the ground.
Paul set fire to the radio station causing about $300,000 worth of damage. Paul actually quit after the playlist shenanigans which was about a week before the fire was started. Apparently he didn’t spend enough of that week listening to Mellow Down Easy.
