A 26 year veteran of the Middleton New Jersey police department spent his last day on the job writing tickets for 14 of the department’s patrol cars that had expired inspection stickers.

Frank Holden said that we was just “doing his job” when he wrote the tickets. Apparently Holden had notified the Chief about the expired inspection stickers months ago but nothing was done. The article also mentions that Mr. Holden is retiring from the department because “Police Chief Robert Oches is hurting morale.”

This sounds a little more like Holden wanted to give the Chief one last fuck you before he walked off the job as opposed to a cop just “doing his job”.
