Weekend At Bernie’s III - Check Cashing Shenanigans

A couple of old codgers in Manhattan decided to try make their own sequel to the illustrious Weekend At Bernie’s movie series. The two 65 year old men put their friend’s body into an office chair and tried to wheel him down to the check cashing store about a block from their apartment in hopes to cash the dead guys last social security check.

Apparently they weren’t smart enough to strap their dead friend to the office chair and several witnesses reported seeing the dead body flop from side to side as the two men wheeled the office chair down the street.

The Larry Wilson and Richard Parker wanna-bes made it to the check cashing store and left their Bernie outside while they went in with the check. The teller who knew the dead man asked where he was and one of the dynamic duo went outside to fetch him when he was stopped by the police. A crowd had gathered around the dead body which had drawn the attention of an off duty cop who called in some uniforms to handle the situation.

I wish they would have made it inside with the body. I would really like to know how that situation would have played out. What was the story going to be when the guy couldn’t talk? I give these two jokers an A for effort though. Unfortunately now they are both looking at check fraud charges.
