I have read this story 5 times because I can’t figure out if it is a joke or not. I swear this is something I would read in the Onion. Simpson is back in court because Ron Goldman’s family was renewing the $33.5 million dollar wrongful death suit they won against Simpson. The judgment is now worth about $40 million but Simpson has refused to pay since day one.
The 2nd District Court of Appeal on Wednesday rejected an argument by Simpson that Los Angeles Superior Court no longer has jurisdiction over him because he now lives in Florida.
How did he think that argument was going to work? Does he have a lawyer that actually passed the bar exam? He moved to fucking Florida. It’s not like he fled to some country where we don’t have an extradition treaty. Does he do this kind of shit just so that he can see his name in the papers?
