Well, the government is finally doing something right. The U.S. Embassy has decided to decline the visa request from Amy Winehouse to enter the United States, as she was set to perform at this weekend’s Grammy’s. The artist is nominated for six Grammy Awards from her album “Back in Black.” Of course, the album contains the now infamous single Rehab, which happens to be where Winehouse is currently residing.
The U.S. Embassy didn’t claim any specific reason as to why the visa was denied, but if there was ever a starting point in the war against drugs in America, this is probably it. Winehouse is essentially the British version of Britney Spears, except with better musical talent and a hairdo like Marge Simpson.
For all you Wine-o fans out there, never fear - Winehouse will still be performing for the Grammy’s, just via satellite. Anyone want to wager on how many words of her set you’ll be able to understand through her coked out and slurred “performance”?

I am hoping to see a little coke still in her nose.
Any chick that has a topless girl tattooed on her arm is cool in my book. I say let her into the country.
Why does a bird from London need a visa to enter the U.S. anyway? I mean if she was Mexican I would understand…
