Do you often find yourself kneeling on a pillow or standing up against the wall with your laptop computer? As you frantically balance your (or your work’s) expensive piece of hardware with one hand while you type with the other, are you thinking: “There has to be a better way!”
Well, HK-Ergonomics has designed the Hip Office. It’s an interesting piece of plastic that goes around your waist and serves as a platform to hold your laptop computer while in awkward meeting scenarios. Besides kneeling on a pillow and standing up against the wall, the site has a couple other examples as to where the Hip Office would come in handy, including what looks like doing lunges, taking a shit sitting on a chair and going up stairs.
If you ask me, this looks like it could be better used as a lunch tray holder. Maybe we can get HK-Ergonomics to send us a sample to review, I really want to see how this would work on the elliptical.
Thanks to Engadget for flagging this.

I can’t decide if this is genius or completely ridiculous.
This could be the new cell phone on the belt. What if you went into an office / cube farm and people were just walking around with their laptops on these because they could.
I don’t like the thought of that one bit.
