This is footage of Lufthansa Flight LH44, an Airbus A330, trying to land at the Hamburg Airport during the middle of storm on 3/1/2008. I don’t know how the pilots pulled this one out. The goddamn wing touches the ground! I definitely don’t know how to fly but if you are approaching the runway at a 45 degree skew I think it is time to scrap the landing. Just for the record, had I been on the plane, I would have officially shit my pants at the 43 second mark.
I can guarantee you the pilots didn’t open the cockpit door and say goodbye to everyone after this shenanigans.

Imagine being on the left side of the plane, looking out the window able to see the runway you are supposed to be landing on… probably a good move on the pilot’s part to take another passing at it…

I can’t understand the German that well because of the wind, and I think the guys are Austrian (read: ridiculous accents), but one of them definitely says something like “right in the pants” or something about pants. I think I can guess what the rest was…
