A couple of weeks ago I posted about an Ebay auction where a date with Scarlett Johansson was on the line. I should clarify and say that it wasn’t an actual date but the chance for a meet and greet with Scarlett at her upcoming movie premiere. The package included the following:
* Two tickets to the world premiere of He’s Just Not That Into You. The premiere location has not yet been determined but will be in either Los Angeles or New York this July.
* Chauffeured car service to the premiere
* Hair and makeup for one by Privé
* A meet and greet with Scarlett Johansson at the premiere
At the time the auction was at $700 and there were a couple of readers who thought that was overpriced. Well I got news for you, you cheapskate bitches, the auction closed at $40,100. Holy shit! Somebody, I am guessing a dude, paid $40K for the chance to say hello and shake Scarlett’s hand. That is an expensive goddamn handhake.
People have been up in arms all week about Eliot Spitzer paying $4300/hour for a call girl. He pays $4300 and gets laid by a hot 22 year old, some dude pays $40K for a handshake with a hot 23 year old. Who is the dumbass now?
