A couple of state troopers from South Carolina have gotten in trouble after dash cam footage surfaced showing them running down and hitting suspects with their Crown Vics.
“Yeah, I hit him. I was trying to hit him,” Garren, who is white, can be heard telling another trooper.
This has got to be safer for the officer. What if that kid has a knife? Is it better for the officer to chase him on foot, try to wrestle him to the ground and then possibly get stabbed? The article doesn’t mention any kind of broken bones or damage being done to the suspect. I say no harm no foul.
