Just a friendly TastyBooze reminder that you need to think when you go out drinking this weekend.
This is kind of a sad alcohol-related death. Earlier this week, a panhandler in Vancouver, Wash., was headed home after a long day and wanted to probably kick back with a couple beers. Make that about a dozen 40-ounce bottles of beer, according to the police report. The 51-year-old James Francis Henry loaded up his backpack with said beer and headed home, in an attempt to take a short-cut, Henry and his girlfriend jumped a six-foot high chain-linked fence. Unfortunately, a strap from his backpack got caught in the fence on the way down and Henry was stuck. His girlfriend tried to free him and then went for help.
When police and firefighters finally arrived at the scene, Henry was dead from accidental strangulation.
This story would be good as a warning for the TrackPack. Don’t want to start the weekend on a sour note, but let’s all pour a little out for Henry. Obviously he just wanted to do what I want to do: Get Drunk.
