Crack A Beer And Toast The Day Beer Came Back

by Mitch Martin on April 7, 2008

beertoast.jpg On this day 75 years ago beer came back to the great US of A. April 7th 1933 is the date that 3.2% alcohol by weight beer became available and Americans were able to quit drinking the bullshit non-alcoholic beer that had been available since 1920. So go out after work, grab your favorite brew and catch a buzz to celebrate the anniversary of the day that beer came back.

I think we are going to have to mark this day down as an official Tasty Booze holiday. This site just wouldn’t be the same if we weren’t able to write about drunken idiots during the week and become drunken idiots ourselves on the weekends.

Cheers!

April 7th wasn’t the end of Prohibition.

Prohibition ended on Dec 5th 1933.
