Many people have suggested that I read Tucker Max’s book “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell,” including members of the TastyBooze staff. Well, I’m not a huge fan of “books.” Luckily for me, “I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell” will be coming to the big screen in the form of a comedy.
The movie goes like this:
The film will follow his trip to a friend’s bachelor party, where he ensnares the groom in a lie that threatens the wedding, and then abandons him to pursue further carnal knowledge. After being banned from the nuptials, Max attempts to get back into his friend’s good graces.
If you are not familiar with Tucker Max, he pretty much just writes about what he did while he got drunk through his college years and into his late-20s. Essentially, it’s all about drinking and having sex. You can read excerpts of the book and some of his stories on his Web site, where it all started.
The book still is on the New York Times’ best-seller list at No. 12, three years after it was released. This is definitely going to be one of those, “The book was better than the film” movies. I have a lot of traveling coming up in the near future, maybe I’ll finally get some time to read this piece of journalism greatness.
Original Story: Reuters.

I haven’t read this literary masterpiece either although I have caught some of his stories via the website.
Sounds like a cross between Wedding Crashers and Very Bad Things.
