It could have been my favorite night of the year. Mariah Carey and Kristy Lee Cook sharing the stage on the results show of American Idol. As my excitement built, Ol’ Dirty Curty sent a pessimistic text about the upcoming results…can you say, spoiler alert!
Mariah did her part with a performance of “Bye Bye,” the second single from her E=MC^2 album that was released earlier this week. And slowly, Ryan Seacrest split the top 7 contestants into two groups. I thought things were looking good when Kristy Lee was paired with David Cook (no relation), but then fuck-nuts Seacrest flipped the script, trading David to the other side for Syesha and the bottom three were set: Syesha Mercado, Brooke White and Kristy Lee Cook.
Three went to two, as Syesha was saved. Personally, Brooke has continued on a downward spiral the last couple of weeks, with bad song choices and poor performances, not to mention her annoying personality that has started to drive me crazy. But alas, America made the wrong choice and sent Kristy Lee Cook home.
It truly was a sad night. I’m sure KLC will have a successful career moving forward and you can see her on the American Idol tour this summer. As far as a prediction for the winner of American Idol…I really could give two shits about the show now. Ganoush out!

I haven’t watched a single episode of American Idol this season but I shed a tear after reading this and finding out KLC is gone.
