An Arkansas preteen faces a drunken driving charge after he and a friend drank his parents’ beer, “got liquored up” and crashed his stepfather’s pickup truck.

Wow, imagine the pre-puberty balls on this kid. Stealing your parents alcohol is par for the course (although maybe not at 12), but stealing their car AND driving it drunk is a whole new level. Though the best part is that the kid took the truck in the middle of the night to find a girl he met at the rodeo earlier. I suppose in Arkansas this type of stuff is standard, but if I was the dad of a 12 year old girl and some kid showed up drunk in their parents truck, I probably wouldn’t be too likely to let them hang out together.

Apparently the kid and his 10 year old friend made it about 10 miles and then jumped a guardrail, sending the truck careening 50 feet down a steep hill. The man who found the boys at his front door at 2:30am suggested the kids should be grounded for life.
