Sports Illustrated has broken down Phelps’ 100-meter butterfly win frame by frame. But it is still not clear how the hell Phelps won this thing. Here he is on the left, well behind with about 6 inches to go.

I’m guessing it had something to do with his double jointed knees, freakishly flexible ankles and his ridiculous dolphin kick.
