Yesterday I did a post about a new application in the iPhone App store called “I Am Rich“. Not to rehash too much but basically the app costs $999.99 and all it does is display a red gem on your iPhone’s screen. Oh yeah, when you press the “(i)” it displays a message that “may help to you stay rich, healthy and successful.”
Well it turns out that 8 douchebags actually bought this fucking program. The number of buyers might have hit double digits but Apple removed the application from the App Store without any real explanation. The developer of this ultimate douchebag app had this to say:
I am sure a lot more people would like to buy it—but currently can’t do so. I have no idea why they [Apple] did it [retire the application] and am not aware of any violation of the rules to sell software on the App Store. The App is a work of Art and included a “secret mantra”—that’s all.
I don’t understand why Apple pulled it either. I mean isn’t there an old saying that a fool is easliy parted with his money? With 8 sales in 24 hours this developer raked in about $5600. Fuck selling books that claim to teach people how to make millions I am going to learn how to write programs for the App Store. Naturally, I will go with a different color gem. I’m thinking maybe green.
