You’ve got a C-130J worth an estimated $82 million that has a badly damaged port wing after being hit by two IEDs while landing. Do you:
A) Repair it.
B) Dismantle it and use it for spare parts.
C) Leave it to rot in the desert.
D) Blow it to smithereens.
You can see by the video that the Brits decided to go ahead and roll with option D. Apparently the plane had been “deemed unrecoverable due to operational constraints” so why not blow the shit out of it.
