Fantasy Football: Everyone’s Probable

by J Diggles on October 11, 2008

It’s the heart of injury season and everyone is probable or questionable.  It sucks.  And it makes it even more important that you sit and start the right guys.  Last week I told you to sit Carson Palmer and he was OK at best, but I will call it a loss.  I also told you to start Jake Delhomme (Winner), sit Willis McGahee (Winner), sit Heath Miller (Loser), and start Marvin Harrison (Loser).  That puts me at a not so awesome 10-12-3 for the season.  It’s been a tough fantasy season and my hero is not far above the .500 mark himself, so I am not worried yet.

Start QB Donovan McNabb: I know, his whole team, including himself, is injured.  He is fired up though after too many losses and San Fran’s D can give up some points.  Diggles line: 250 passing yards, 17 rushing yards, 2 TDs, 1 pick.

Sit Seattle: All of them.  Sit all of them.  When Koren Robinson might get significant action at wideout and Charlie Frye might be your starting QB you know there is trouble brewing.  Seattle’s D was supposed to be their saving grace this year, but they laid an egg against Manning’s giants last week (yes, negative points) and Aaron Rodgers is primed to slice them up.  Diggles line: GB 31, SEA 13.

Sit WR Braylon Edwards: See above, the Giants are good and Braylon gets to see them this weekend.  They will hit you in the mouth, and that’s not a good sight for a guys who drops the ball.  Plus, Derek Anderson only got off 138 passing yards last week, and that was against the worst team in the league.  Diggles line: 5 cathes, 52 yards, 0 TDs.

Sit RB Joseph Addai: Baltimore may not win many games, but that has nothing to do with their defense.  Mendenhall, 30 yards.  Chris Johnson, 44 yards.  Jamal Lewis, 56 yards.  Chris Perry, 37 yards.  And yes, waiver wire gem LeRon McClain has outrushed each and every one of them.  Diggles line: 49 rushing yards, 21 receiving yards, 0 TDs.

Start TE Zach Miller: I hate this category.  Tight Ends are terrible this year.  TERRIBLE.  And on top of that Zach has only had one good game this season coming off an arguably over-hypped pre-season.  But 1) New Orleans defense ain’t awesome, 2) Miller’s one good game was his most recent game, 3) The Raiders have a decent ground game again, which should ease some pressure over the middle.  TE’s have only been OK agaisnt New Orleans, but I think it has been because of a lack of looks, not the Defense.  Diggles line: 6 catches, 70 yards, 1 TD.
