Inventor Casey Jones says that he had created a device that will transform a cheap bottle of wine into aged vintage perfection in a matter of minutes. The canister uses ultra sound technology to force the alcohol molecules in the bottle collide which speeds the aging process.
Andre Jones, no relation, a winemaker who produces 40,000 bottles-a-year at his family-owned Buzzard Valley Vineyard, near Tamworth, Staffs, said he was impressed by the gadget.
He said: “Casey took one of our bottles and brought it back for us to try after it had been in the machine. I was amazed, it had definitely aged.
This guy is a grape grower by trade so he probably knows his shit but I can’t really say that is definitive proof. Shit, somebody could take a bottle of wine out of the room shake the shit out of it and bring it back I would probably say that it tasted different.
The good news is that this rougly $600 gadget works on any booze that gets better with age. So even the cheapest whiskey you can find can come out of the machine tasting like an aged single malt.
Does malt liquor get better with age? I’ve got to wonder what a finely aged 40 ouncer of Old English 800 or Steel Reserve would taste like.
