Sloshspot put together a fine post of numerous statistics regarding the amount of beer that is consumed in the United States.
The first statistics shows that America is only trailing China in terms of beer consumption. At only a quarter of their population, I say that’s not too bad. Germany and Russia have a lot of catching up to do, but I think we’re definitely within striking distance of China.
The other USA Today-style info-graphics relate U.S. beer consumption to the GDP in Columbia, the war in Iraq, what it takes to fill a swimming pool, stacking cans to the moon, keg size and enough grain to feed a lot of people for a long time. Check out the entire post at Sloshspot to get some knowledge dropped on you.

We might take down the most barrels but those booze hounds over in the Czech Republic still hold the title for most liters per capita at roughly 157.
Which for the metrically challenged is about 331 pints.
Not surprising given the size of the US.. how would that chart look if you divided countries population by alcohol drunk.. I’m sure Ireland would come out tops.
