The season is nearing it’s end and many of you are sitting in that precarious 6th, 7th, or 8th position…making this week a must win. In most competitive leagues, this is the second to last week before the playoffs and you gotta get in to avoid 7 months of embarrasment until next season.
Start RB Peyton Hillis: I don’t think he is the second coming of 2007’s Ryan Grant, but as injuries in Denver persist he will be solid for a couple weeks. And you know that offensive line still have some life in it. Hillis is also well aware that he is playing for his job, with Tatum Bell quickly learning the offense and ready to “steal” the job anytime. Selvin may get some carries too, but goal line touches are Peyton’s bread and butter in all scenarios. Diggles line: 44 yards rushing, 15 yards recieving, 2 TDs.
Sit QB Brady Quinn: He is projected to torch Houston’s D, but I don’t see it. After watching last week, it is clear that his decision making is good, but his ability still has to catch-up a bit with NFL speed. On top of that, his favorite received Kellen Winslow might be out, and even worse Quinn’s right index finger appears broken. Don’t risk it if you have the likes of Jason Campbell hanging around. Diggles line: 185 passing yards, I TD, I pick.
Sit RB Darren McFadden: He is healthy and playing a weak Denver D. And I know he has been sitting on your bench all season just waiting for the opportunity to shine. You haven’t dropped him and feel you deserve a reward for your patience. He has the skills, but this won’t be the week. Fargas should be average and if McFadden stays healthy look for his breakout next week versus KC. Diggles line: 37 yards rushing, 0 TDs.
Start WR Greg Jennings: It’s been slow for Greg since Aaron Rodgers hurt his shoulder a few weeks back, but this is his welcome back party. Rodgers is finally off the injured list and Greg was successfully targeted in the endzone last week. Oh, did I mention it will be a shootout in New Orleans? Diggles line: 112 yards receiving, 1TD.
Start TE Dustin Keller: He has been the man lately for Brett Favre and don’t expect that to change versus the tough Tennessee D. You know Brett is going to let it loose, especially if the Jets are down early. Not to mention, Keller is averaging 7 catches and 97 yards in the last 2 games. Diggles line: 70 receiving yards, 1 TD.
