Scuttlebutt Amber Ale is brewed just north of Seattle in Everett, WA. The beer pours with a deep amber color with hints of red. It pours with almost no head but what’s there is a clean white color.
It smells almost just like it tastes with a malty sweetness and just a slight bitterness at the end.
The Scuttlebutt website describes the Amber Ale with the following.
Amber Ale
Medium bodied with a caramel flavor and a herbal hop finish
Color: deep bronze
Aroma: spicy
Hops: Mt. Hood & Willamette
23 ibu’s
5.1 alcohol by volume
A well balanced beer
It’s not the best amber I’ve ever had but I would pick it up before I picked up something like Alaskan Amber. The Scuttlebutt has a good amber flavor and it isn’t as filling as Alaskan Amber.
