“I threw a couple punches…I was ready to dance a little bit.”
If you plan on jacking a 52-year-old former Golden Glove boxer’s moped you had better bring something more intimidating than a pocket knife.
Ramon Acevedo had finished his shift as a custodian at the University of Minnesota and was walking out to his moped to head home. A couple of young hooligans approached Acevedo and asked him if he owned the moped. After saying that he did one of the chuckleheads pulled a knife and said, “This scooter’s mine now.”
Acevedo dropped into his boxing stance and started throwing punches. The two robbers both took off running.
