I know I did a Sam Adams beer last week but they had Sam Adams Light on the store shelf when I showed up last night which is a rare occurrence and I couldn’t pass it up.
Sam Adams Light pours with a slight amber almost gold color. The first sip brings slight fruit flavors along with caramel and just a slight malty flavor. The Sam Adams website describes Sam Adams Light as follows:
Brewed using the finest two row malt and German Noble hops it has a smooth, complex roasted malt character that is superbly balanced with the subtle orange fruit notes of the Noble hops.
I’m going to be honest, Sam Adams Light is the best light beer I’ve tasted. It’s by far my favorite which is the reason I had to buy it tonight when I found it on the self. Sam Adams Light goes down just like a light beer but it actually has a full flavor and almost tastes like the standard Sam Adams Boston Lager. In fact I would bet that if you handed a pint to a buddy without telling him it was a light beer he would never know. My only real complaint is that I can only find Sam Adams Light in a six pack. I need to petition for at least a half rack if not a full case. If I could find it on a regular basis this would be my go to beer.

Dude your beer reviews suck. You live in WA? There are tons of micro/craft breweries in the PACNW. Grab something interesting next time.

Sam Adams Light is good, but it is so because it’s not really that “light” of a beer.

I mean at 124 calories and 10 g of carbs for 12 oz, it’s in range of most “regular” beers.
@FrankTheTank
Well you can take that up with Sam or whoever the fuck runs the show over there.

True, I do have microbrews coming out of my ass here in the Pacific Northwest but every once in a while I like to choose a beer that people across the country can find in their local stores.
