While the majority of people were out on Saturday night doing something fun, the next Miss America was being crowned in Las Vegas. TV ratings for the spectacle have gotten so bad, the competition was aired on TLC…yes, The Learning Channel played TV-host to the Miss America Pageant.
Anyway, your 84th Miss America is Katie Stam, representing Indiana - the first winner from the state. Unfortunately, there isn’t much out there about Ms. Stam, except boring information on how she ended up in the pageant. Never fear, it’s only a matter of time before one of her Indiana friends learns how to use a computer or discovers MySpace/Facebook and uploads some embarrassing photos or videos of her. What does Miss America do again? Well, besides stand around, try to look hot, and speak on social issues until embarrassing college party pics surface. In Katie’s defense, she looks hot in a bikini from a distance.
