At first, Asher Roth sounds like the poor man’s Eminem. But Roth is slowly rising to legitimacy - he even graced the cover of XXL Magazine as one of the upcoming artists of 2009. Oh, he was also signed by Akon. His first single, “I Love College” (yeah, who doesn’t?!?!) has been on the radio for a while now, but the music video just debuted this week. The song is definitely catchy and will be (or probably already is) the anthem at college house parties across the county in no time. I love the mention of beer pong too.

It’s catchy but I’d like to see what other kind of songs this kid comes up with for an album.

my number one rule, if a rapper has to say their name prior to every song, they suck. mike jones, akon, t-pain, etc.
