It was officially announced last night on Late Night with David Letterman, then confirmed with a billboard in Times Square: Bar Refaeli is the cover girl for the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. There is nothing wrong with that.
Bar Refaeli served as a Monday Morning Pick-Me Up previously on TastyBooze, and now she’ll serve as an everyday pick-me up for the subscribers of Sports Illustrated. Refaeli also previously beat out Amanda Carrier in the MySpace vs. Celebrity challenge a while back. The swimsuit issue should be headed to your mailbox later this week and will be available just about everywhere as well. Full magazine review to come later this week.
I’m personally happy that I don’t have to read Rick Reilly in SI anymore, he ruins everything!

What has happened to this special issue? First Beyonce and now this?! I should’ve known it started losing ground when Marissa Miller showed up and tons of familiar face like Heidi Klum started to go missing. If I had my way, we’d still be seeing her, Molly Sims, and even Kathy Ireland. I’m not sure what photo editor is putting together the layouts every year. Its probably someone totally new because they have no taste whatsoever. The Maxim issue also was disappointing. The digital age, what needs is their for a swimsuit issue anyway.
