And so it begins… Last night Fox aired a grueling two-hour special to decide the final 36 contestants for the eighth season of “American Idol.” The elimination process included sitting in a waiting area-style room in a huge mansion, making a long walk to the judges’ layer and sing-offs between contestants for their places in the final 36. Fucking awful.
Luckily Casey Carlson was in the hot seat early in the episode and has now advanced to the round of 36. More importantly, this meant that I didn’t have to watch the whole excruciating two-hour episode.
This, of course, means that the judges have made their decision and now it’s up to America to start voting their favorites through to the next round. TastyBoozers, get those dialing and texting fingers ready. It’s go time for Casey Carlson!
