If you are still in the stone age using a mouse with a wire or mouse “ball,” it’s time to take a step back and make some changes in your life. Trust me, I had to deal with an “old school” mouse for a while after my previous mouse had a little “accident” (I don’t want to talk about it). I swear, that wire was everywhere I didn’t want it to be…tripping me up as I frantically switched from TastyBooze to work, almost knocking over my soda or water glass, etc.
Luckily Microsoft’s Explorer Mini Mouse came along. It uses “BlueTrack Technology” - judging by the packaging, I could only assume that meant the mouse worked better while wearing a blue shirt. (Seriously Microsoft, people do make shirts that aren’t the color blue.) Actually BlueTrack is fancy because it works on pretty much every surface (except clear glass and mirrored surfaces, which is understandable), including “granite countertops, living room or airport carpets — even on a wood table or on a rough, unfinished park bench.” Wow, Microsoft knows me too well, I can’t remember the number of times I’ve wanted to sit on a park bench (the rougher the better!) and check out some porn sites! Finally, freedom!
After rigorous testing the past couple of weeks, the Explorer holds true to Microsoft’s word and works on just about any surface, including boob mouse pad, hotel bed comforter, human skin, other inappropriate mouse pad, hairy human skin, and wood bar. What’s also nice about the “mini” mouse is that it’s not like some other gaudy mice on the market, it fits snugly in the palm of your hand and you aren’t overwhelmed with a hundred buttons or shortcuts.
The Explorer Mini Mouse retails for $59.99, and the regular Explorer goes for $79.99. I suggest you sell this in to your boss and get your company to purchase it, just let them know how productive you’ll be while you’re at that park bench.
