After listening to the last 15 episodes of The 40 Year Old Boy I figured it was about time to write a proper review. Mr. Schmidt would probably prefer that I wrote this on iTunes but fuck it, it’s getting done here.
The 40 Year Old Boy is a one man podcast hosted by comedian Mike Schmidt. The running topic of the show is Mike’s life past and present. Each week he sits down in his producer’s kitchen and just rambles about anything and everything that comes to mind. I’ll admit that even I was skeptical at first but I was a fan after the first episode I heard.
In just the last episode alone he covered a chick trying to gnaw his dick off in a DJ booth, heading to Tahoe with a buddy at the age of 20 with $40k of someone else’s money to gamble and pointed out that if Hollywood had any sense of humor Christian Bale would present the Oscar for cinematography this year.
If you’re a fan of comedy or podcasts or even better comedy podcasts do yourself a favor and subscribe to this show. If you’re particularly interested in the episode described above you’ll want to download episode 46.
