This year some pricks from the University of Leicester are trying to take a shit on the only decent excuse we’ve have had for choosing the ugly person since alcohol was invented. They have published a study saying alcohol does not have an effect on how attractive we find someone. In fact they claim that their study showed people who had consumed alcohol thought people were less attractive than those that didn’t drink.

The ladies over at Lemon Drop and I both call shenanigans on the study done by those chuckleheads at the University of Leicester. First, much like alcohol has been a social lubricant for thousands of years, beer goggles have been helping people validate their mistakes for just as long so why rain on that parade? Second, they clearly didn’t use subjects that were drunk enough. After a only a few drinks when peoples’ inhibitions loosen up it’s much easier for them to be mean. You need to get past that to the piss drunk stage where people just don’t give a fuck any more.
