If you aren’t familiar with Carl Spackler’s work you need to A) watch the compilation clip below and B) seriously reevaluate your choices in movies.
Apparently the city of Spokane is having a problem with squirrels and they’ve decided that instead of using some kind of conventional method they are going to blow the little furry bastards up.
So the Parks and Recreation department is going to use a special machine to detonate some of the 100 to 150 rodents that are tearing up the grounds.
The machine is called the Rodenator Pro. It pumps propane and oxygen into the tunnels of squirrels, then sends an electric spark that causes an explosion. The shock waves kill the squirrels and collapse their tunnels.
Maybe Carl is the man behind the Rodenator Pro and if not he fucking should be.
