Being A Politician Is Hard

by J Diggles on May 7, 2009

arnoldpotviatypeishcomkf4Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor of California since 2003, knows being a politician is not nearly as easy as weight lifting.  This week he announced that California should consider legalizing marijuana.  He followed that up by saying he does not support legalizing marijuana (except for that one time in 1977, see pic).  And then he followed that up by salivating over the potential $1 billion in revenue that taxing the ganja would bring to the State.

Hmmm, beliefs versus money…the prostitution of politics.  Or maybe Arnold is just confused.  In 2007 he told GQ (before recanting) that marijuana is “not a drug. It’s a leaf.  My drug was pumping iron.”  Of course, it has since come out that his drug was actually steroids, nice try though.

Either way, sounds like we all may be able to get hella f-ed up in Cali soon (legally that is).  Imagine the potential revenue from heightened tourism to the State.  Just think, Sacramento becomes the new Vegas for bachelor parties that just want to “chill”.  I clearly need to be an economic advisor.
